The history of the #mirror
In ancient times, obsidian, gold, silver, crystal, copper, and bronze were used to make #mirrors
after grinding and polishing; in 3000 BC, Egypt had bronze mirrors for makeup;
In the 1st century AD, large mirrors that can illuminate the whole body began to be available; in
the Middle Ages, small portable #mirrors that were placed in ivory or precious metal boxes with
combs were popular in the Middle Ages; from the end of the 12th century to the beginning of the
13th century, there were silver or iron plates on the back Glass #mirror: During the Renaissance,
Venice was the center of #mirror making, and the mirrors produced were famous for their high
quality. In the 16th century, the cylindrical method was invented to make plate glass. At the
same time, the tin amalgam method of using mercury to attach tin foil to the glass was invented,
and the number of metal #mirrors gradually decreased.
